I have been asked this question by my students many times. The short answer is no. ⠀

The main differences are our accents and some expressions and vocabulary, but we can easily understand each other. It is similar to English and its varieties –American, British, Australian… ⠀

In this video, Antonella, Liz and I will show you some Spanish words from Colombia, Mexico, and Spain.  ⠀

Fun facts:
– In Mexico, ꜰʟᴏᴏʀ is piso, which means apartment in Spain.⠀
– In Spain and Colombia, ᴛᴏ ᴛᴀᴋᴇ is coger, which has a sexual connotation in Mexico.⠀
– In Mexico and Colombia, ᴛᴏ ᴅʀɪᴠᴇ is manejar, which means to manage in Spain.⠀
– In Spain, ᴄᴀʀ is coche, which means baby buggy in Colombia.⠀

Stay tuned for part 2! ✨
